Fantastic overall

All staff friendly and helpful. Couldn’t do enough for us during our stay and went above and beyond, especially the staff in the day at the library bar. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back again.

Perfect for a Christmas night stay

Excellent location, very friendly staff and was perfect for a night away to see family on Christmas Day. Hotel is looking in need of a refurb but was comfortable, bedding was spotlessly clean and shower hot & powerful…..everything that was needed!

Friendly staff - nice food - comfortable bed. Shower was dirty with p**** hair and top of soap container. Draw which clearly states “hair dryer” was empty. Generally place rather tired looking and could use a freshen up.

The evening receptionist was exceptional and so helpful, very polite and informative. The hotel is less than a 20 minute walk from the station so easy to get to. The hot tub and swimmjng pool was great. The fault I found is the rooms being a little cold

The staff in this hotel were really lovely - in the bar, reception, breakfast, they could not be faulted. The rooms were slightly tired and needed a little bit of work but the beds were super comfortable and I had a lovely nights sleep. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of options. I was staying at this hotel for a birthday party and the hotel provided the food. The food was excellent with a great variety for the buffet.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were quite dated and worn but still very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The roads around the hotel were quite noisy throughout the night but weren’t unbearable.

Friendly helpful staff. Comfy bed, but room was very hot, so restless sleep. Restaurant closes at 9 so arriving late means no food. Great value breakfast. Good value really.

Wasn't there long

Room was clean and tidy and the hotel itself was very nice. Staff was friendly. I wasn't there long enough to use the facilities but they looked good for what i could see. The only let down was breakfast, there wasn't a huge range for a veggie, would have been nice to see croissants, pain-au-chocolat, jam etc and the coffee was a bit rough.

The sofa beds need looking at as they are quite uncomfortable. My son had to sleep on the floor . The mattresses on the sofa beds are very lumpy . It would be better with 2 singles beds instead of the sofa bed and more chairs . The king size beds are very comfortable. The sofa beds let’s the overall comfort of sleep down

The pool was lovely and warm,but the room and all the furniture apart of the bed was vey old with handles missing bathroom door couldn't close we had to use a piece of cardboard.But the staff and breakfast food bas lovely.Bed was very comfortable.Overall was good but doesn't deserve 4 stars as advertised.

I stayed for 4 nights.I was told that they do not service the roomms during a stay unless specifically requested. I had a Studio room like a suite. There was was plenty of space in the two rooms but everyting was rather tired. I had to wrestle the curtains open and closed, there was no temperature control and the sofa was stained and grubby. The TV control had a mind of its own. I suspect the batteries were failing and the safe was broken. I had a hair raising moment, literally, when I reached into a draw and touched a live 240 volt wire. When I reported this to the front desk I was told that there should have been a hair drier in the draw and people were stealing them by pulling the power lead out and leaving the live wire in the drawer. Bearing in mind that I am seventy years old and it could have been lethal, I was not even asked if I was OK. I did not make use of the Spa, bar and restaurant so I cannot comment.

Value for money.

It would have been 5 stars. However sadly one very rude member staff. Who thought the way to deal with an issue was to ignore what the customernwas saying and instead make inane comments. Shame as all the other staff were professional and very friendly. Clean, comfortable. Good breakfast. Jacuzzi wasn't workking but lovely steam room and suana.

Room extremely noisy, even with windows closed. Curtains stained. Otherwise room clean. Bedding very clean. Bathroom shower only working on very hot ( could not use). Toilet seat wonky. Breakfast okay but run out of pastries completely. Coffee weak and warm.

Rooms looked 'tired', and could do with a revamp. You had to ask to have new towels on a daily basis (which was not explained on check in). Dirty plates and empty bottles left in the corridor, not cleaned up for more than 24hrs. However, there was one outstanding member of staff called Tru, who despite being a trainee went above and beyond without hesitation.
