I want to support local business, and I did not want to travel to a large chain hotel in Pembroke, even for a cheaper price. Overall, the Sands could use some improvements. For the $200 price, I was seriously disappointed. Make the trek to a better hotel for your money. It had recently snowed, and the walkway was not cleared at all. "

"This cozy cottage is quite spacious! The hot tub was what I was after and it did not disappoint, even at -25degrees.The only thing I would point out is that you need to bring your own drinking water. "

"Overall great place. One of the eyes on the stove wasnt workig. We contacted owner regarding bbq before attending to ensure we had means to bbq but when there found the gas was not working / empty and would have to fill up but since I was working was unable. We thought that should have been taken care of previously. Sauna and property is lovely. Pull out bed was not comfortable but room bed was. We were able to get reception on the amplifier but it was partially broken and had to be held in place nd not moe in order to get reception for cell phone service. Really wished the stove and bbq were in best order - we ended up fixing the stove. We forgot a whole pack of baby food in the storage in the kitchen but no one contacted us. Thats alright but, just saying. Beautiful property overall. "
