Room was great, what you would expect from a lovely little hotel in the country side. Well located out the way. Very quite and very comfy beds parking was very good and no issues
The Vines is located in a beautiful, quiet village and made a convenient base for exploring the Cotswolds. The included hot breakfast was very good, the staff were friendly, and our room had a clean, modern bathroom. We also appreciated that our room had parking directly outside, making it very easy to unload luggage.
There were a few practical drawbacks during our stay. The Wi-Fi was patchy, and although the room was comfortable and otherwise very clean,
the carpet was noticeably stained. While the room was designed for cross-ventilation to help cool in the warmer weather, we often had to keep the windows closed because of exhaust fumes entering through the rear window and, at times, a sewage odour outside the front. It’s also worth noting that the pub serves only breakfast at this time, so you’ll need to drive elsewhere for lunch or dinner.
Overall, we enjoyed the peaceful location, friendly service, and convenient access to the surrounding villages. While there are a few maintenance and comfort issues that could be improved, they would not prevent us from returning and we found it to be a good base for exploring the Cotswolds.
Room okay, breakfast good, staff very good. But disappointing to learn on arrival that no evening meal. After 350 mile drive would have liked to have known before arrival that meals not avaliable.
