"We were pleasantly surprised as we drove into the property… it’s hidden away in one of, if not, the oldest neighborhood in Waynesville. It has an upscale camp feel. It wasn’t as up to date as I expected from the pics, but I think I read that they were going to do some remodeling. I expected a little nicer for the price, but some pay for the uniqueness I suppose. The king bed was too soft for me, but others might not mind. We only stayed one night. Be careful with the automatic lock on the door. Not sure how easy it would be to get locked out. They have some kind of unique system where you might want to have your phone handy entering and exiting. Overall, nice stay."

"Family friendly. We had 8 adults and 6 grandchildren (11,8,3,3,3,& 1 yr olds). We played games, watched movies(needed help with the theater TV and the Tech was sent with in the hour), hiked waterfalls, and swam at Lake Junaluska. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in mornings and evenings. Nice big kitchen with Vulcan commercial stove and oven. Great for frying bacon! Asked the host for more dish towels and an extra bathmat which they provided within a couple of hours. Overall experience was successful and would do it all over again."

"This was a great hotel with exterior room entrances. The property features a golf resort with a restaurant, bar, outdoor pool, and fitness center. All of the amenities were well maintained and felt clean and updated.The bar was a bit pricey, but it was the Fourth of July weekend, and they had a small live band performing for an evening event that was open to guests, which created a fun atmosphere.There aren't any Ubers or taxis readily available in the area, but the front desk provided us with the contact information for a local driver who offers rides into town, which was very helpful.Overall, I would definitely stay here again!"
