Motel was very convenient for visiting the Great Basin National Park. The room was clean, staff very friendly and I appreciated the onsite restaurant and gas station!
The staff were excellent. The food was very good. Rooms were old but well kept and clean.

When booking your room here remember your hundreds of miles from any major city. Once you set your expectations, accordingly, you will enjoy the experience. The air-conditioning works, the beds are great, there’s hot water in the showers and the staff is efficient and helpful.
The biggest challenge we had was our cell phones. Would reset the time between the Pacific time zone and the mountain time zone because literally you’re sleeping on the border.
The hotel has a good location near Great Basin National Park. Very reasonably priced room. No TV; but, we didn't mss it. Good internet connectivity. The cafe had tasty food and great service. We had fun at the hotel.

We stayed one night at Border Inn while visiting Great Basin NP. When we checked in, the deadbolt on our door didn't work. They moved us to the adjoining room...but it didn't have a deadbolt and the door had a noticeable gap at the bottom. The room was clean, but the furnishings were very old and the bed sagged to the middle, resulting in a less than restful night. After we ordered breakfast, the waitress came back shortly and told us they were waiting on eggs. After waiting about 10 more minutes, we decided to leave, and the waitress was very kind. She provided a pancake to go and didn't charge us for anything. She was very friendly and helpful!
Parking was very easy. Since it's a very remote location with few travellers, we were able to park right in front of our door. The room itself was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable. Water was hot with good pressure in the shower. I saw that someone was upset about lack of TV's in room, but I feel like that allowed for being unplugged. Something was wrong with the actual heater, but our room came with a space heater and that kept us comfortable. I joked that we were still tent camping with a roof. It's barebones, but better than sleeping on the cold ground and chilly temps. I'd recommend and I'd come again

We stayed two nights while visiting Great Basin National Park. Hotel is older, clean, quiet, staff are nice and great location for the park. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would use hotel in the future.

Friendly efficient staff. Spacious room. Very convenient location if you are visiting the Great Basin National Park.
Well-lit, safe. Room had all we needed; bring your own hair dryer if you need one. Everyone was very kind. Food in the restaurant was good, prices were great.
Property seems older but we enjoyed our stay. Super close to the national park made this really convenient. Not a lot of restaurants in the area, the hotel had a diner attached which had decent food. All staff was really friendly. I was hesitant to book based on other reviews, but we enjoyed our stay and would stay again if visiting the Great Basin National park

For lodging in the middle of nowhere this place met all of my expectations. Clean, comfy beds/rooms. Restaurant, convenience store, casino all on site. Check in/check out was easy. Note there are not TVs in the room.
