"This is the nicest European hotel we have ever stayed in. The building is fabulous, really nicely converted with lots of thoughtful design choices. The rooms are lovely, beds super comfy, nice big fluffy towels. Great indoor spa facilities (we had a brilliant couples massage) and the outdoor pool is the perfect place to swim and relax with a cocktail. There are loads of nice places to sit and relax inside and outside. Staying here feels as comfortable as being at home. The breakfast is...

"Hotellet var bra och personalen var hjälpsamma och trevliga. Det hade varit önskvärt med tillgänglig bar. Det fanns en, men den var stängd under våran vistelse."

"Très jolie quinta. Chambre spacieuse, très bonne literie. Le seul problème fut la lumière de sortie de secours très lumineuse qui nous a empêché de bien dormir. Il faudrait installer une petite lumière qui s’allume lorsque l’on se lève. Sinon tout était parfait."

"This hotel was not for us .there is no amenities at all.it’s a hikers dream though and the adjacent bar was popular for locals and bikers.we had no communication with staff as no one could speak English .the breakfast was a joke.no tv and to add insult to injury and after a long haul getting there the property owners refused to cook an evening meal .for us as we are both in our late seventies we will never re visit and feel there was not enough information on your site to reveal just where it’s...

"Our stay at Octant Douro was easily the highlight of our trip to Portugal. We absolutely loved the hotel’s tranquil and picturesque setting along the Douro River. Our room overlooked the river, and we often found ourselves sitting in silence, simply taking in the breathtaking scenery and peaceful surroundings. The pool facilities were beautifully maintained and provided the perfect setting for relaxation. The restaurants were outstanding, and the breakfast was excellent, offering a delicious...

"very dirty and smells we had to changed the room"

"The buffet breakfast was convenient as it was available for the early risers. Most restaurants in the area do not open till later (some at 10:00am). There was a good variey of pastries, fruits, meats, cheese, juice, tea, coffee and eggs, and omelets upon request. Also the price per person is comparable to other resstaurants but difference is all-you-can-eat versus ala carte pricing. We were overall satisfied with the choices and staff was willing to assist with requests."

"Excellent property. Great combination of modern amenities with an authentic local feel. Took advantage of the one hour River Boat activity for €30. Best value ever."

"This hotel was wonderful. We were greeted with welcome wine and the gentleman who checked us in was very polite and informative. The room was big and clean. The view was AMAZING.Definitely recommend this hotel. In a great location too."

"Very nice hotel, great location with friendly and helpful staff. Very spacious room, with well maintained features"

"Beautiful hotel. Staff very pleasant and attentive to our needs. Neighbourhood very busy - but no problem with noise at night. Very good restaurants within short walk. Breakfast much appreciated as I don’t think many options available nearby."
