"I think the unbending and unaccommodating staff and management overshadow any potential rating for the overall hotel appearance. As many of us are aware there is a war going on right now, and I had to leave one day after arriving due to work, obligations as a result, and the hotel did not try nor care to accommodate me for a refund, they told me turkey was safe (two days later a missile headed for Turkey had to be shot down!! All they cared about was keeping my money) Additionally, I had to complain several times that my room that I spent almost $1000 for three nights smelled like smoke!! And the only excuse that I got was somebody may have been on the balcony smoking!! Unacceptable on so many levels!! "

"It's rare that a hotel and its grounds look better in person than in publicity photos. But this place amazed me and surpassed expectations with its tranquil garden setting in the very shade of the ancient city walls. The breakfast offered several amazing Turkish dishes--fresh and well-crafted--with wonderful service. Location excellent, being right around the corner from Hadrian's gate; it was an easy starting point for both exploring the old town and catching rides to farther destinations. We had some problems with the heating/AC but staff were very helpful about it."

"Prime location in great Kayseri if you want to stay in the old city. However it’s loud with tourists and it sits in a restaurant, so you will hear noises from parties in the old city and diners, especially if you’re traveling during busy season. Thankfully we travelled during late November so it wasn’t that bad. The hotel itself is beautiful and has a nice garden and view upstairs. I recommend getting the premium room upstairs for less noise and bigger space like I did for my parents. Breakfast is okay but not great (cheese, bread, fruits, coffee and tea)"
