"Fantastic welcome from Vaso including a lovely homecooked meal. The villa is lovely, we felt instantly at home. Well equipped, comfortable and clean. Loved relaxing in and by the pool.Do go and find the small kafenion behind the church up in Harkia, couldn't believe how welcome we were made to feel. To much to explore in a week, we will be back.Many thanks"

"Vacation was great. The hotel is well maintained and the service is excellent. We didn't have WiFi service in our room and they provided a modem for a wireless connection. The beach is small and not the greatest, but pools are nice. They should have recycling bins and not just garbage bins. Also the tour we booked to Knossos and Heraklion was just a private taxi taking us around and the taxi driver wanted to finish the tour as soon as possible. Not the nicest. Overall, our stay was great. My kids loved the pool and the kids' club. The young ladies who played with and entertained the kids were extremely nice and friendly."

"This modern villa is spotlessly clean throughout with panoramic views in every direction. Even from inside the Villa the view through the windows changes each day like a living painting. It’s spectacular. The grounds are completely enclosed and child friendly with plenty of space for kids to play and adults to chill. The gardens are very well maintained and watered, if you’re from the UK think of a national trust garden with Mediterranean plants. It is also very well lit in the evenings with the BBQ dining area overlooking the top half of Crete (not exaggerating) being one of the gardens hi-lights.The Villa feels secluded in it’s own hillside setting but is at most a 7 minute drive back down to shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. So on those sweltering afternoons where the heat of the coast is getting too much, in 10 minutes you can be in your own gorgeous pool with a mountain breeze. Perfect!Eleni deserves her own 5* review but I’m running out of space! A flawless host who is kind, caring, quick to respond to any messages and super friendly. Thank you Eleni! There are no downsides, the beds are comfy, the pool is sparkling, the garden is stunning, the water pressure is great, the wifi is fast, I could go on and on.Stop searching now and book this place, you wont regret it and you’ll never want to leave.Thank you so much! "There needs to be a rating above excellent as this resort was world class. From the food, rooms to the hospitality everything was top rate. The resort is beautiful and relaxing. I love being surrounded by nature in a beautiful setting. The daily breakfast spread was one of the best I ever had. Already planning my next trip back! "

"Our week long stay at Koupos Villa was exactly what we wanted; quiet and relaxing. The villa is beautifully finished and had all the necessary fixtures we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners were so helpful and kind, leaving some fruit and coffee with other essentials for when we arrived. They even changed bed linen and towels mid week which was a bonus. The outdoor setting of pool and bbq/pizza oven were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed making full use of them. The nearest shop was a 5 minute drive away in small nearby village and bigger supermarket (lidl) only 15 minute drive away. We enjoyed exploring Rethymnon one day and even walked around surrounding villages some evenings as sun was setting. would highly recommend this villa and would happily stay again in the future."

"Amazing villa 25 mins away from Rethymno and 12 mins into the mountains. Very quaint and quiet. Loved our stay!"

"The property is as described but be warned access requires you to travel up some very steep and very narrow lanes which will test your driving skills. Our sat nav directed us to a lane which was simply impassible. The property is fine but when we stayed there was an infestation of ants in the kitchen and some other issues. I would have expected when paying more than €1300 for a week to be provided with some basics like washing up liquid and extra toilet rolls rather than having to provide them myself. Both showers were broken and most alarmingly I got a mild electric shock from one of the light fittings by the bed. Beware! The kitchen equipment is very poor - there was no chopping board and too few plates/glasses and mugs. I would also have expected some cereal bowls. Overall it’s an OK place to stay but I would shop around before committing."
