"This hotel is very conveniently located off the expressway and in proximity to MVP Arena. My room was clean and tidy but extremely cold. I first attempted to raise the temp myself using the thermostat. While I was able to manipulate the temp and the fan on the screen, it had no effect on the room condition. I tried calling down to the check in desk but the phone rang continuously without answer. I went down in person and explained the situation and the clerk said she would let maintenance know. After 20 minutes went by, I went back down to try again. She seemed surprised that no one had been by so she tried calling maintenance again. She assured me that someone would be by soon. While I waited for maintenance, I sat by the open window to let someone of the outdoor warmth inside. Finally, the maintenance man came by and was working on things in the ceiling. After about 10 minutes he said he fixed things because he saw the room temp had risen by 1 degree so he left. 30 minutes later, the room temp had not risen anymore so I resigned myself to keeping the window open and hope that by the time I returned from the concert, the room might be tolerable. 4 hours later and it had risen another 3 degrees. I ended up sleeping in sweats to keep warm. But, if it hadn’t been so cold in my room, I would have thoroughly enjoyed my stay there"

"The staff at this property go above and beyond to help make your stay the best it can be. We stayed there 2 different times during a difficult time for our family and they made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The hotel is under renovation but we were never inconvenienced. A special shout out to Janice who definitely goes the extra mile. The rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable."

"Bed, pillows, linens were the BEST! Chuck was friendly & helpful. The two building situation was confusing, and the front has a VERY small sign, making it hard to find. This is an urban location, despite the beautiful garden pictures. Parking is not convenient, but is provided and secure. Main home is beautiful with common areas you want to take pictures of - woodwork, staircase, ceiling details were lovely. Garden is comfortable and peaceful. We felt welcome with coffee/tea & baked goods available in the open kitchen. Second building houses executive style apartments/rooms, nicely decorated, good furniture, lighting. However, building needs some maintenance - paint peeling off bathroom tiles and carpeting that has timed out. View out only window was fire escape. A/C worked well. Both buildings were quiet while we were there. Chuck's restaurant recommendation was spot on - delicious dinner at Dove & Deer."

"I stayed while working at Albany Medical Center, and it was a perfect location for this! I could walk to the hospital, shops and restaurants. The apartment was cute, quiet and very clean. It was a great place to come home to after a busy day. Michaela, the host, was very helpful and responsive -- checking in on my stay. I appreciated the available washer and dryer. I will definitely stay at this apartment again if I am in Albany."
