I recently stayed at Bahia Principe Grand Coba from May 13 to 19, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for, especially as this was my first time visiting Mexico.
During our stay, a fire incident occurred, which turned our vacation into a stressful and unsettling experience. There were no clear instructions provided during the emergency, and announcements were made only in Spanish, which many of us could not understand. This lack of communication during a critical situation was alarming and created confusion and fear among guests.
While we were offered an incentive to use other resorts afterward, the process was disorganized and more of a hassle than a solution. Long lineups at the buffet were frustrating, with food often running out. To make matters worse, we had to travel between resorts just to access meals, which involved additional long waits for transportation. This was incredibly inconvenient and exhausting.
On the first day, there was no Wi-Fi available, making it very difficult for us to communicate, especially since we were relying entirely on internet access to stay connected. When we sought help from staff, many seemed unsure of the situation or gave inconsistent information, which added to our frustration.
Overall, the situation was poorly handled by the management. The lack.of communication, inadequate emergency plan, and the disruption of basic services significantly impacted our trip. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously.
