"Booked a superior room but they put us in a room beside a family of 5 with 3 noisy children. We had to move and ended up in a vacant room that shouldn’t really be in service."

"We stayed at the hotel last night and had a great experience. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lady working in the spa today and David at the front desk. We had a small problem with our first room, but David was amazing and sorted everything out quickly by moving us to another room with no hassle at all. His customer service really made a difference to our stay. Overall, we had a lovely visit and would definitely stay again!"

"Excellent check in with friendly staff. The room was mostly clean just a little unclean under the sink in the bathroom on the tiles in room 109. The bathroom flooded when using the shower and this was not just me as the wood on the bottom of the door was expended so suggests is a normal practice. The bathroom also had a wire attached to the radiator above the bath that did not look well covered. So no issues with the room but bathroom needs some love overall. Great facilities - we used the sauna...

"Everything about the place was good, the staff, the bar clean room, I didn’t eat breakfast cause I never woke up in time for breakfast but their menu for lunch and dinner was good"

"Unfortunately for us we arrived later in day and upon returning to our room later that night we found our bed was unclean.Also we had opened wardrobes to look for more pillows to find the previous visitors used socks. Staff were helpful in moving room but not ideal circumstances."

"Stayed for 2 nights. Standard ensuite twin room. Room had everything but was compact somewhat snug. Ensuite was interesting as it was separates by glass part of which could be frosted by a switch. Only a third was still clear which meant it was private. It also had no blinds bringing in too much light. Breakfast was buffet, didnt realise they offered alternative cooked egges or veg options as this wasnt shared but enough food so not to much of an issue. Great pool and jacuzzi etc, had a dryer...

"The view of Winchester Cathedral from my bedroom was amazing. All of the staff were extremely helpful and positive including promptly resolving air temperature issues in my room. The room was spotlessly clean. But the room felt rather tired with scratched and battered furniture and a dated bathroom. The decor in the bar and restaurant did not reflect the historic location of the building and seemed very generic and unimaginative"

"With a huge gym and a 20m swimming pool it is quite a rare find in the area. Avid swimmers note, though, that pool is 30-31 C temperature so vigorous swim in freestyle may have to be cut back due to overheating if used to normal lane swimming temperatures. Understandable, though, as it is used by non-hotel residents & kids so it has to be warmer. Staff were extremely helpful, food menu in the "restaurant" was quite good and breakfast buffet was decent. "The property was conveniently located. The outside grounds were beautiful for lunch and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Shower was very tight."

"This is an excellent facility with good beds and bathrooms. Our stay was spoilt by surly unhelpful reception staff. After telling us that we could not check in before 3 pm, the same person checked in a crew of pilots. Then at 3:05 When apparently we qualified to check in we were given a room on the top floor. My wife had an injured knee and asked if there was a room available on a lower floor. Although we were the first to book in after 3 pm we were told there were no other rooms...

"The staff at the hotel was so helpful in getting taxis etc. Monika was so good at following up with us regarding the different requests. Food was very good. Our stay included free breakfast which had a very nice selection of food"
