"For the price of the room, I expected better. It felt a bit dingy, and the gentleman at reception was a bit pushy about ordering dinner. The room itself was outdated and there were mold stains on the shower door. The shower leaked out into the bedroom and left the carpet sopping wet. We let them know, but they knew about it. Seems weird they would rent that room out. Who knows how long it has been like that. Breakfast was pretty good and the gentleman at breakfast was kind. I would not stay...
"Beautiful old hotel that oozes charm. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the meals at the hotel, bar, restaurant, and included breakfast were quite good. Would stay again!"
"We had a wonderful stay at Whispering Pine Lodge and absolutely loved our time there. The property is simply beautiful, with an incredible setting and a great deal of thought and care evident throughout.
Our room was very nice, comfortable and cosy, although it was a little on the smaller side for a family travelling with luggage. I am not sure there is much that can be done about this given the character of the property.

Host communication poor, sent me to wrong place, neighbours all complaining about this host when I asked directions. Not the important part, but clearly characteristic. Zero response to complaint from host.
