"Clean, tidy, nice reception staff, but the room was cold. I tried to turn up the thermostat, but just got cold air. "

"The building is like a maze, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. There was both heating and air conditioning as well as a window which could be opened. Breakfast on the Saturday was terrible, I was so disappointed and had to go elsewhere to eat. But the Sunday it was lovely so perhaps they were having an off day although it does make it expensive to have to pay again for breakfast. 100% recommend the breakfast on Sunday and the staff both days were really nice. "This hotel turned out to be quite deceiving. From the outside it looked grand when you walk up to it, but in reality it was tired with a 70s/80s building on the side which is where we stayed. Branded as a spa hotel, the spa side was tiny, old and very dated. The pool was very small, the jacuzzi wasnt working and empty. The sauna was tiny, with a door that was hanging off the hinges and had scraped the floor. In the changing room, very few of the lockers worked. The room we had was very small...

"The building has an extensive history and is an architectural marvel. The room was spacious and well appointed. Dinner was exquisite. The grounds were immaculately kept and the surrounding land was a picture of pastoral beauty. The pool and sauna were relaxing and we had them all to ourselves. It was a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary."
