"Clean, beautiful location with the wow factor.
Beautiful park with walks and waterfalls with a feeling of seclusion for a perfect romantic getaway. Woodland spa suite with the hot tub was amazing and we cannot recommend it enough.
Great location for portmerion, Snowdonia and beautiful beaches."
"The room was lovely and spacious, the staff were amazing, the service in the dining room was excellent.
Parking is limited but we were lucky all 3 days.
Loved the hotel.
The shower needs some edging to catch the water from spreading over the floor (drainage worked fine)
We were at the hotel for 3 nights and loved every minute.
Thank you"
"It is an old Hotel but it is well maintained
The staff are young and on top of their job and very polite and helpful
The restaurant is well decorated and comfortable as is the bar and lounge
The food is very well prepared and tasty
Our room was well looked after by the staff as we were there for 3 nights
All in All no complaints at all"
"The views are excellent- Staff very welcoming and friendly.
Rooms very comfortable but warning of some sloping ceilings!
Amenities very good - good value for money.
Breakfast very good.
Good choice menu in the evening but disappointed that apple and blackberry pie not available for 4 nights of our stay!
Dog friendly - which is great for dog owners but personally - I wasnt so happy re a couple with 2 big dogs being allowed into the dining room in the evening."
"Very nice spot to set up your base while exploring north wales. As a word of caution: its very convenient location to the bus and train service is a huge plus, but the actual train and bus service in this region is quite unreliable. I was able to make due but there were a few times I had to wait upwards of 2-3 hours for trains to return back to betwy y coed after a long hike so you may want to consider renting a car if you're exploring many parts of the region, but it is still very accessible...
"Really quirky hotel with magnificent grand wood panelled staircase and stained glass windows.
Nice breakfast, sitting in a bright conservatory.
I will come again......"
"Very nice YHA - this was my third visit!
Extremely clean rooms, bedding and bathroom (3bed room en suite).
Friendly faces behind the bar/reception.
Ideal to walk Miners/Pyg Track - just across the room for both.
Big self-service kitchen and dining room.
Board Games/snooker room - plenty of space to lounge about with a licensed bar!
Wouldn’t hesitate to book again."
"Highly recommended. Well-equipped room. Spotlessly clean. Only (very) minor drawback was the narrow staircase to the second floor. Staff members were super helpful - I only regret not sampling the Welsh traditional breakfast!!
Hotel is in a great location with a short walk to in-town facilities (shops, restaurants & bars). And plenty of parking on the quiet access road in front of the hotel."
"The room was clean and tidy and very pleasant. The staff were very helpful, kind and cheerful.
Breakfast provided a good choice of cereals and a variety of hot breakfasts."
"Staff was lovely, breakfast was delicious, great beach view and playground for the kids, nice 5 minute walk from the town, would definitely come again!"
