"This hotel needs modernisation. I would not have been happy to be here on a very hot day.
It is not very accessible. As I have arthritis I found accessing the first floor quite difficult.
Breakfast was great the staff were great"
"The hotel is very peaceful and quiet, hotel is spotlessly clean. And the restaurant serves excellent food, The Hotel is around 26 minutes to bath & 40 minutes to Bristol .
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel & we have always been happy with our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel."
"Attending a wedding there. Stayed there for 3 days. Room was clean. Staff were excellent. Good breakfast unfortunately, the room had no air conditioning being downstairs. You had to be careful about leaving the window open, would we stay there again? Yes"
"B&B à 15 min à pied du centre. Le petit déjeuner continental est à suggérer et ils ont aussi à la carte. Le personnel est très accueillant. La chambre était propre et ils fournissent une robe de chambre et chaussettes. Il y a un bar sur place. Je recommande fortement cet endroit. J’y reviendrais sans hésiter."
"We loved this property and area as a whole and to be in Sherborne was fantastic anyway, and so close to the Abbey was beautiful in itself. The in-house staff were brilliant and very helpful too with anything we needed, but I’m afraid the general up keep of the building and facilities in Room 1 (family size) were poor in places like broken fixtures and fittings etc, like the cracked toilet seat lid, the broken (and not working) shaving light and shaver power socket on the mirror in the bathroom...
"A very nice hotel, the rooms at the rear of the hotel were former farm buildings which have been completely renovated. There is a wet room ensuite which is well appointed. The restaurant has a good choice of food which is excellently cooked and presented. The breakfast menu which has to be ordered the evening before was slightly confusing until I worked out that the price stays the same and you just tick your personal choices. Well sited and only 6 minutes from the Bristol Airport Silver Zone...
"Max 2 star property. We were given the room called ‘tiny double’ which was awful. The bedding and pillows smelt damp. The fire alarm went off whenever we used the shower because of the steam even when we kept the bathroom door closed. There was no floor space at all once our suitcase was opened. For just under £300 per night it is shocking. Breakfast was so basic. We ordered a full english for £18 but had for pay extra for toast?! We were told that because we booked via expedia we had to pay...

"We had a lovely stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean. We had breakfast included, I'm so glad that we did, the cooked choice was really good, including my partner's favourite chopped avocado. There was also a good buffet selection, I really enjoyed the blackcurrant and yoghurt pot and the fresh fruit pot."
"The property was not as advertised. We arrived at 8pm and there were no staff in the hotel at all. The restaurant was shut as was the bar. A sign at the reception stated that the restaurant was only open Thursday to Saturday inc. The following morning was better. The staff were attentive and the breakfast was well cooked and tasty."
"A nice stay. A lovely pub right in the middle of Frome. We stayed here to go to an event at the Cheese and Grain which was perfect. Just be aware that as the rooms are part of an active pub you may get some noise on busier nights"
