"Everything about this hotel is a gold star, despite the bathrooms being slightly outdated and the road to get there semi isolated for food options. This is a great place for a night or even a week! The staff were friendly, and so were the ducks and eels! We were fortunate to see the lunar eclipse right from their hand built trail, and only wish we could have stayed longer. "

"Our stay was 2 days and nights of being utterly spoiled, from the spotless room with its super comfy king bed to it's roomy shower. Everything we could need and more was provided. David is an exceptional host and how lucky were we to find this diamond in the beautiful hills of Whitiangia? Breakfast was outstanding! There aren't enough superlatives to describe the magnificent scenery or the sunrise as you lift your head up off the pillow in early morning! "

"Room was very clean everything worked as it was designed to work. Beach front with a great beach. The lady working there was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They had spades to use at hot water beach and kayaks for the surf. 👍👍"

"Clean room, close to wharf, restaurants & bars. Could not use coffee provided in room as it seemed to have been expired which we could not use however great coffee shops in the vicinity. Hand basin in the bathroom is quite low & the vanity cupboard protrudes over it.... inconvenient especially for tall people. Room did not have air conditioning but great fans were provided. Basement parking is very safe but not suitable for a lowered car but can park on the street however it is not secure. "
