"Just what we needed for ourselves & the in-laws for a night. Nice and close to local restaurants. Basic amenities but all worked well. Beds were ok and place was warm with aircon/heat pump. We loved that our cabin had been used in a NZ movie. My husband was stoked!"

"I should have noticed before booking, but be advised it does not have Air Conditioning. They leave windows open which does help significantly, however by dark there were about 30 bugs in the bathroom from leaving that window open. "

Kelvin and Lynne were the most welcoming hosts and helpful with recommendations for attractions and dining options etc in the area. After days out exploring the surrounding district, loved returning to the lodge to soak in the views from that balcony over a wine or two. Breakfasts were excellent and set us up for...

"We truly appreciated the hospitality as they pointed us to a place to eat (with warnings that the kitchen would close soon) as well as a suggestion for kayaking. Phil also patiently bore us to the kayaking place when my daughter and I got turned around. They even allowed us a shower after kayaking and after our checkout time. The best part was they bore with us as we overstayed our check-out while trying to get on a new flight when our flight was canceled. Thank you for everything."
