"It’s a good idea to message the hotel beforehand to reserve the onsen on the evening you arrive; we were lucky that there was a spot available, but you will have no problem getting a spot any other day. The onsen is such a nice way to unwind after a long day of exploring this gorgeous mountain area. Yoi tabi wo!"

"The hotel’s location was extremely convenient, being situated right next to the train station and bus stops. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby, giving us a wide variety of dining options. The hotel provided parking at a reasonable fee, and complimentary breakfast was included as well."

"The one amenity that makes this property enjoyable is the private bath on the outdoor deck. WiFi never worked the three days of our stay. The property is located on a hillside so be prepared to walk steep slopes or take a taxi. "

"I booked the top room with in-room bath and expected a great roykan experience. I was sorely disappointed. The bath room wall has visible black mould. The wooden towel rack was old and almost blacken with mould. Faucet and show head has seen better days and stained. The toilet was dark and lighted by a small bulb. You cannot do your business properly. The frontdesk staff were mostly foreigners. You won't get the Japanese experience and hospitality. My only compliment is for the lovely...

"Lovely spacious hotel with a traditional Japanese onsen. Staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately, hotel does not accommodate vegetarians very well. Though there is vegetarian options for breakfast, there is nothing available at other times. Additionally they have eco housekeeping policy where they just leave fresh towels and toiletries outside your room. Any trash has to be left outside the room for it to be cleared. "
