"Excellent location and really comfy bed. The room has everything you need all in convenient places. Next to train station but just out of the way of street noise and staff are very helpful and friendly."

"Excellent value for money, very clean room"

"We stayed for two nights while visiting Newcastle, the accommodation is a 15 min walked the station - all uphill but then you have the nice downhill into town. Not the nicest looking area or building but staff were friendly & helpful, rooms were spacious & clean, and the breakfast bag perfectly adequate. Good price compared with other accommodation close to the centre, at weekend."

"Large room, location quiet at night and felt very safe. Easy walk into main city and to the music centre. Staff cheerful."

"Great location. Comfortable room. Really helpful and efficient staff. Very highly recommended"

"The premier suite needs the toilet seat fixing and a plumber needs to sort out the drainage as when the bath drains it back up into the shower tray in the bathroom."

"Bang for buck"

"Modern, well furnished and clean rooms. Great location for local shops, cafes and restaurants and 10 minutes walk to West Jesmond metro station. Great value for money too."

"Stayed for 2 nights in family room, location is superb as its a couple of hundred yards north of where the students drink making it very quiet a huge plus, staff very welcoming, rooms spotless and breakfast excellent, free parking was a bonus and not a problem, all in all a lovely stay ,highly recommend"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a lovely stay at The Royal Hotel. The staff were great, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was lovely. The hotel is in a great location and offers excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again!"

"Lovely hotel n free parking"

"The Hotel location is fanstantis as it is close to restaurants. The Hotel reception need upgrading, completely We found it selfish of the Hotel to outsource its parking to a 3rd party - as we choose FREE parking in the Expedia filter. Guests like paying for all amenties direct, rather than to a 3rd party. Overall, it was okay, as it was a 1 night stay."

"A slightly dated and tired hotel. Rooms were spacious and bar staff helpful."
