New owners have taken over hotel just over 2 mths ago and we found them to be very friendly, welcoming and hard working. "I booked 2 rooms we were allocated rooms 12/14 on 2nd floor which were OK but could do with a revamp.Room 14 had a iron but no ironing board room 12 had a ironing board but no iron so we ending up sharing. Extractor fan not working in bathroom number 12.Both rooms had a view facing the main road and the traffic was constant from 5am.Car alarm going off several times during the night did not help sleeping (I know it was not the hotels fault).Breakfast was OK tea was luke warm from dispenser....

"The service, accommodation was exceptional. The hotel was relaxed and totally customer focused. The staff are attentive and accommodating, knowledgeable about the area. All the staff presented themselves as professional but friendly always smiling and open to conversations and commentary. The spa is fantastic, relaxing and rejuvenating. I’d go back anytime and will recommend the hotel to my friends"

"Craig and Tommy were excellent welcoming hosts and they couldn’t do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We loved the quirkiness, laid back feel, and atmosphere of the Ryebeck. The food was very good and we wish to pass on our compliments to the chef. The hotel’s location and its views across the Windermere are wonderful. We will certainly look to stay again. "Smashing location - nice accommodation, don't be put off by the somewhat weathered exterior of the building. Clean and comfortable room, OK breakfast, nice evening meal, though note that if you book dinner the drink they offer you is NOT included, which only became clear at checkout! Great location, competitive price, nice grounds. Dog friendly. Pleasant and helpful staff, though a very small team"

"My husband & I were very pleased with everything about our stay @ The Auckland Hotel. The staff were lovely & we had a wonderful welcome.The hotel was idea to walk to the promenade. Our room was lovely & the bed very comfortable. The facilities in our room were excellent. The breakfast was superb & well worth paying the extra. I had the vegetarian breakfast.
