"Right in the center of town and an easy walk from the train station in Barnstaple. Everything is right there in walking distance and it's all just as funky and charming and welcoming as can be! The hotel's foundation has sunken a bit (or more in some places) which is charming but a little disconcerting if you're thinking you might fall out of bed!"

"This is a beautiful gem of a hotel. It was like stepping back in time to the classic era. Staff were great! Both friendly and accommodating. Free car park is a bonus. "

"Loved the boutique decor and quirky nature of the building. The setting is perfect, right by the waterfront. Parking is a bit of an issue, so don't come back to the hotel until 4 pm, when parking is better ( fewer daytrippers). Bed was hard and pillows were not very comfortable, but that was only my taste.
