"Room has a smell to it due to it being an old property, old rug and old beds. Old design. It is cheap compare to other nicer and renovated properties. Most properties around the area are old. Staff are helpful, always smiling and courteous. Their housekeeping only puts new towels and cleans trash, we had to tell the front desk daily that we want full service to make up the bed. Seems housekeeping doesn’t clean everyday, that could be why the room smells. Beach view doesn’t disappoint, beautiful...

"Our ocean view 1‑bedroom suite at Kohea Kai far exceeded expectations. The photos don’t come close to capturing how beautiful and peaceful this place really is. The suite was clean, nicely furnished, and surprisingly affordable for Kihei. The best part was the balcony/deck — every evening we watched stunning sunsets while listening to the sound of the waves. "I got a super early check-in and a late check-out, had an incident with the stove where it got resolved very fast, beds were a lot more comfortable than I thought, beautifully landscaped grounds, chill location… everything was great"

"You feel like you're visiting a friend's summer house, relaxed and cozy. No frills, very chill. I was a little concerned of street noise being in the center of town but super quiet and all the other guests were well mannered. Loved the accessible "caffeine depot" as I had some jetlag."
