Cosy hotel great breakfast
The lift was out of order which was a bit of a nuisance and the fan in the bathroom was rather noisy which made having a relaxing bath out of the question
I would recommend the hotel as it’s perfectly situated for Snowdon"
"Clean bedroom and bathroom. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent parking. Basic breakfast ok. Shower over bath was not suitable for elderly, would have preferred a walk in shower, stepping in and over the bath was difficult and needed care."
"This is a very friendly small hotel we used when walking part of the Anglesey coast path. Our room was clean. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent.
The owner was very helpful giving us information about our walk. We will come back."
"Enjoyed my stay at the Menai hotel, my room was a good size and clean and comfortable too. The hotel breakfast was very good also.
The hotel's location is in Upper Bangor and is not far from the railway station and near bus routes and not far from the town centre either.
The limited interaction I had with hotel staff I can say that they were pleasant and helpful.

"A superb experience from the lovely warm welcome on arrival, to the tasteful furnishings, large room with wide range of courtesy teas, coffees, biscuits and little fridge. The ensuite is spacious and has a gorgeous multi- shower. The superbly comfortable bed and "quiet time" meant a peaceful and deep night's sleep. "Generally clean room but we did find a dog biscuit under the sink while we were there……and we didn’t have one with us.
It was during a heat wave and had to sleep with the window open even though a fan was provided, this made it a little noisy at times.
Good breakfast and all staff were friendly and in the main, helpful. Only received a “that’s not my job, see the bar staff” once on one of the evenings."
"We chose this property for its location to the ferry terminal however due to the noisy plumbing and size of the room we felt it was over priced and uncomfortable. Definitely too small for a double room more like a box room.
In fact a 4 hour drive in the early hours would have been preferable."
"We were only staying overnight so it was ok for what we needed. The room did need upgrading and the mattress was uncomfortable. The parking was very good and the facilities were family friendly"
