"We had such a welcoming stay at the Mary Mount. The views are incredible. The staff are really lovely. We found the breakfast to be of a very good standard. Fabulous stay. We will definitely be staying again."

"Special shout out to the cleaning staff, we were in a hurry and left things haphazard, not expecting them to clean but returned to a spotlesss room and even our little snack bags secured and closed so the crisps don’t go stale :’) they def went above and beyond what we didn’t expect but staff everywhere was super helpful from reception to bar and restaurant ! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area"

Happen, would have actually been a blessing . The front desk agreed to help us check in later than possible by leaving key in lockbox. Unfortunately, same desk clerk told us hotel was in Dumfries which has a road with a similar which led u s to council housing at midnight. Once we discovered the error we have another 1 hour 15 minute ride to “hotel”. Upon arriving, key was in lockbox, room was large but beds were from the 19th century, incredibly...
"Well positioned in Cockermouth. Stairs upto bed rooms may be challenging for some guests.
Easy parking, well stocked bar, pleasant communal rooms and garden.
Best part of this hotel by far is the very welcoming friendly staff and superb breakfast."
