"Comfortable room in an old inn, with a 4-poster & settee. Good strong, hot shower. Very quiet, so a good night’s sleep. Very friendly host& staff - the inn providing excellent food & refreshment. Perfectly placed close to the station, car parks, attractions & main shopping areas. All within one of the nicest towns in England."

"For a cheap room it was clean and comfortable. Bit noisy as we were by the door (that let late night people in and out) but you can’t complain when you pay next to nothing. Excellent value for money. Beds were comfy. Room and bathroom were clean. Staff friendly. "

"Arrived late afternoon and were greeted by a ni e young lady. Quickly shown to room. She even carried our bags for us. A spotless room, nicely decorated with lovely walk on shower. Comfortable beds with fresh clean linen and choice of towels. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal at competitive prices followed. A couple of well presented and tasty trad ales finished the night. A thouroughly delicious breakfast was served by the landlady prior to our leaving. The Talbot is a friendly traditional...

"The hotel is beautiful with excellent staff members who can't do enough for you. The restaurant food is lovely and the breakfast included is such good value for money. Everyone was very happy on the business trip. One only issue is the guest Wifi is quite weak from the upstairs rooms so had to come to the bar to do some work. "Room was comfortable however the bathroom was opposite the room. This made going to the toilet in the night a little awkward. Didn’t use the shower as the shower head looked rusty. The breakfast was delicious and piping hot Cooked to perfection. "
