"Lovely hotel in an excellent spot. The historic background is evident, yet at the same time there is a lot going on so it is vibrant and busy and the rooms are to a very good standard. Very comfortable night’s sleep, with no disturbance from patrons at the bar (and the quiz night, which happened during my stay). I was unable to connect to internet (despite help from staff). "The Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and my check in was quick and easy. The room was a decent size, and everything was clean, including the bathroom. It's a good location as it's only a couple of minutes walk from either Exmouth town centre or the seafront. It is an older building, so getting to and from the room requires a fair bit of up and down stairs. The room was quite warm, and tricky to have the window open (seagulls!) - no a huge deal."

I didn't like some noisy guests with no consideration for others e.g. late at night loud talking of adults and children and banging doors. May be a notice in all rooms saying please be considerate to others and close doors quietly and not to speak too loudly. A hook needed on back of bathroom door to hang towel."

"Excellent location. Stayed in same room November 2024 and reported plumbing problem. This was still evident on our recent visit. Had to ask 3 times to get our room serviced which was not done on 1st day. Plentiful breakfast but problem with keeping it warm. (dont like cold scrambled egg!) Breakfast room understaffed. Trading on location but needs better management"
