"The cabin we stayed in was lovely with spectacular views. It was cozy and had everything you could think of. Close to restaurants and food shopping and a great jumping off point for touring the Isle of Skye. Great place !"

"Thia hotel was really nice. In a very quiet area in Isle of skie. I loved the landacape, the old building and how they repserved everything. It is true it doesn't have elevator but it is not a reason to discredit all the plus and how comfortable they made us feel. Breakfast was really good and service exceptional. "

The owners were friendly and full of information on local walks and attractions, including where to go to look for otters, birds, and red dear. "A beautiful hotel with grand high ceilings and an eccentric historical townhouse charm. Perfectly located right on the shore of Loch Maree, with private lake access. Our room was peaceful and quiet, offering breathtaking views of the lake. The host was exceptionally friendly, warm and accommodating, adding a welcoming atmosphere to both the hotel and its cosy bar. He went out of his way to meet our requests, making us feel truly cared for. Easily our best experience on the NC500. "

"Booking in was very easy. There was an envelope left inside the door with my name and room number on. The room was lovely - not huge but big enough for 2 with a lovely bathroom, nice thick towels and hand soap, body wash and shampoo and conditioner in the shower cubicle. The heated towel rail was a nice touch making the bathroom nice and cosy so you weren’t coming out of the shower to a cold room ( nothing worse) There were tea and coffee facilities too with a nice biscuit on the side! "Staying at Gleann an Ronnaich proved one of then highlights of my extended time in Scotland. The extra special touches made such a difference - a face-washer and shaving cream in the bathroom, very comfortable room & lounge area topped off by exquisitely crafted and cooked hot breakfast. Nothing seemed too much for the hosts, and close to town (Portree) too. Highly recommended!"
