"Property is large house with no AC. We were on top floor. No lift. Other than that the property was nice, comfortable beds and mist essentials provided. A little out of the way and pricy but it was last minute and it could have been much worse. They do a good job for an older property."
"The staff were very friendly, and made us feel at home! The room was cozy and the view was beautiful, though the road outside was rather noisy, but it dies down after dark. I was hooked on the Cotswold Stout while we were there, and the town absolutely won our hearts! Highly recommended The Bear if you're around Marlborough!"

Great staff, clean room, excellent shower, excellent breakfast. Breakfast staff were hard working and lovely. Restocking food and cleaning constantly.
I slept well.
Early check out at 9:30am , but then you can check in from 2 pm
No TV in the room but it was great for 1 night.
Opposite the cathedral, could see it from the room.

"Nice room & building, shame about the lack of care & attention to detail!
Arrived to find the room not made up. Ali, a kitchen worker was apologetic & accommodating & said he would call house keeping back. We went off for 1 hour but returned earlier than anticipated as my partner wasn’t feeling well.
When we came to the room, the male worker, on his phone, had an unpleasant attitude, saying he needed another 10 minutes. We said ok, but we needed to use the bathroom urgently.

"The check-in staff was amazing.
The apartment was exactly what I needed with a refrigerator, sink and lots of space. It could’ve been a bit cleaner as I found numerous hairs throughout the room. Ample towels were provided, and the bedding appeared to be new.
Once again, I can’t stress how lovely the check-in staff were. It’s a very nice location with a lot of amenities. Cleanliness was the only negative which took one star off the rating."
"Big room, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Convenient breakfast already in our room when we arrived. It was a little tricky finding the right place to park on our first day but the owner directed us and we had no problem after that. Very convenient for visiting Stonehenge, Salisbury, and Old Sarum by car. Ate dinner on the same street at the George Hotel."
"I really enjoyed my stay with my husband and daughter. The place was very quiet and large . The place was spotless and well set up kitchen . Good parking however we just parked and walked everywhere. Close to grocery store and downtown Bath, tourist attractions"
"We were given a full tour of the boat we had reserved with instructions on how to start the engine to make hot water, starting the furnace, etc. but the number of beds had unexpectedly changed (Cru Houseboats was under new ownership since we booked our stay) and the requirements for operating the boat did not appeal to us so we did not stay there. The staff were extremely helpful in finding a hotel late in the day that was close by. "
