"Nice accomadation only minutes from the beach. Our room was small so I would recommend maybe having one with a balcony, We had breakfast on the last day which was nice. Plenty of other beaches or towns easily reachable by walking or train so although parking was slightly limited it's not really an issue."

It looks as if there has been no attempts of upkeep at the property for years.

"Room was clean, basic, but had all that I needed. Bed was very comfortable but room was initially a little cool. Radiator was adjustable and it soon warmed up. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There is a fridge and a microwave in the room which proved useful and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom was pristine with a walk in shower. "Room great quiet in hotel but noisy outside. I stayed on a Sunday night although I couldn't hear cars there a loud motor bike kept joy riding around the roundabout up Union Street and then up Royal Perade this went on for a 1hr.
Not the hotel fault but it did mess up my sleep as this was going on 1am to 2 am"
"Fantastic location overlooking the hilltop sea views. Last minute overnight booking, with only the rear looking room available (would like to try the sea view rooms next time). Room was immaculately clean with a fan, iron (and board), hairdryer, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle (also tea, coffee and milk, that you can have refilled if you need more). Staff were absolutely fantastic from the time we checked in to when we left. Bar and food area downstairs (also plenty of outdoor seating).

I’d read all about Hans in the reviews and thought it must be too good to be true but was very pleasantly surprised to find it to be accurate.

"A fantastic, spacious hotel. I couldn't believe the size of my room! The en suite was immaculate and the mini fridge with water and milk provided was a lovely touch. The manager, Louise, is lovely to deal with and makes the place feel like a home from home. I am booking for a second time this month. The car park on site is a huge bonus - no driving up and down the street looking for a space. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Torquay."
"Stayed for 5 nights, have stayed before. Guesthouse 2 minute walk to front. Room had small fridge and microwave which was ideal for me, was advised private bathroom but was sharing with 2 others, not happy about that but otherwise a lovely stay. Marina very helpful on arrival and chatty throughout stay. I would return."
