"I booked this hotel for 3 nights, but I could only stay for 1 night because the condition of the room was completely unacceptable. The room was extremely dirty and did not feel hygienic or safe. The bedsheets were dirty, the walls were badly stained, and the overall standard of cleanliness was very poor.
The worst part of my stay was finding bedbugs in the room. I immediately reported this to reception, expecting the issue to be taken seriously, but the staff showed very little concern and did...
"The room was clean ok for a good nights sleep.
The bed was comfy.
But unfortunately there was a hot water issue in the hotel so we had not hot water at all....
Also a lack of plugs i the room to charge anything."
"Cheep and ok, there was no staff when we arrived just keys left out for us, feel like anyone could of just taken the key but they didn’t, and in the morning there was a staff talking very loudly outside our room at 8:30 in the morning so no lie ins, the room was clean but not well looked after"
"The reception is unmanned but I got an answer from the contact number straight away. All simple enough.. the hotel was clean and convenient, a little tired but fine.. could have done with a spoon on the drinks tray in the room."
"A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay."
"This was a very quiet place to stay, in a good location to explore Cambridge & the fens around there. The village itself was great, with a fantastic restaurant (Lot25) and an incredibly interesting church in terms of interior. I was on a long weekend with a good chum, and we had two rooms opposite each other. Although everything was clean and the beds were comfortable, I did feel like we were staying in a business school conference centre. The rooms lacked a few practical things, which you...
"Staff very helpful, a clean presentable room, nice affordable price with good parking access....a nice village pub atmosphere to finish the trip out at"
"We had a great time, our host Rahul and staff all were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was hot and delicious, evening meals were great, served swiftly and nothing was too much for Rahul."
"I was expecting to share a bathroom, but it was in convenient that it was down three flights of stairs. I repaired to my room early as I was not feeling well to discover that the remote for the television was not working, and there were no spare blankets on the room on a chill autumn evening."
"Booked the comfort triple room with private bathroom, on arrival we were shown to a twin room and a single room, without private bathroom. When we quieried this the barman said they don’t have triple rooms with private bathrooms so I showed him the booking I made along with this room still being advertised. He went away and returned stating he could not do anything as the manager wasn’t available, therefore, we had no option but to stay in rooms we had not booked. Shared kitchen was dismal, one...
"Most of Westminster College is used for students. The room was comfortable and had a mini kitchen. The breakfast included in the cost of the room is a full English breakfast, and was excellent. Be aware that the rooms are not cleaned daily - you can expect rooms to be cleaned every 3 days, however you can get extra supplies from Reception. I highly recommend the property."
