"Cottage was ok but after booking through hotels.com I was contacted by Host & Stay and advised I had to pay an additional fee for a damage waiver.
Alternatively I could pay a deposit but they take an admin fee so you don’t get the full amount back plus they state they may take 14 days to refund."
"Very nice hut in a really good location but had a weird damp smell coming from the shower. We didn't use it but were only there the weekend so managed."
"We have stayed here before two years ago so we’re aware in March it can be cold in the cottage - which it was-so the log burner is a big plus. Kitchenware had a fine layer of dust over it so we had to wash everything before use, which was disappointing. But overall the location, character and charm made up for it with easy access to The Cleveland Way walking trail - which we were doing. Also good bus service."
"We stayed for a couple of nights and it suited our needs. The beds were comfortable as was the sofa and we had hot water when needed. The kitchen had basic equipment which was fine for us. The apartment is on the top floor, so an issue if you struggle to climb a couple of flights of stairs. A couple of negatives- the internet is absolutely shocking - please resolve as it’s essentially a utility in this day and age. Also the key safe can be a bit ‘sticky’ so took a few attempts to open. "This is a lovely, clean, tastefully decorated cottage so close to the front. Well equipped although I’d have loved a fresh coffee maker not a pod machine.
I walked with my cup of tea down to the sea each morning. It was fantastic."
"Clean, tidy, lots of fresh linen, towels and kitchen well stocked with facilities.
Decoration little tired in need of patching and painting as scuffed in parts.
Bathroom totally unsuitable for 4 and impractical-roll top bath difficult to get in & out of to shower. No lock on bathroom door and sink unsuitable as so small couldn’t use it to wash as there was shelf above it.
General appearance of entrance and hallway poor bags of laundry stored there but once inside great "
"Huntcliff view apartment is a gem. The flat had everything we needed for a two night stay. It was earm and cosy and filled with thoughtful details like coffee pods and throws for the sofas. The flat is ideally situated for exploring Saltburn. We wished we could have stayed longer."
