He couldn't find any record of my booking, even after showing booking confirmation and reference. The place had a musty smell and a unclean feel to it.
It looks as if there has been no attempts of upkeep at the property for years.

"The first thing we noticed on arrival was the vary small amount of parking available. We had to find a spot round the back. When we got inside the lady was very helpful and showed us up to our room. It was directly above the bar but the noise was not intrusive. The bed, while comfortable, squeaked with the slightest movement, but as long as we stayed still, it was ok. The bathroom had no lock, and the door latch didn't work so the door couldn't be closed. We had to wedge it shut with towels...
"Excellent location, next to a lovely park by the beach. Our room was spotless and we even had a little seating area outside our room.
Lovely and quiet at night. Parking was the trickiest bit in terms of getting luggage to/from the car park (a 7-8 minute walk) but we'd only gone for a night so we were able to do it all in one go."
"Unfortunately there was no shower in my ensuite and I was too fussy to use the shared shower, also it was too noisy for me as I was working long shifts so I had to cancel after the first night. However the pub downstairs looked really busy and welcoming & the staff were absolutely fantastic."

I’d read all about Hans in the reviews and thought it must be too good to be true but was very pleasantly surprised to find it to be accurate.
Couldn’t have helped more, really interesting to talk to and the freshly cooked breakfast was superb!

"Needlessly complicated check in process - why did I have to supply my ID? There is no UK legal requirement for this and most places don't do it. The booking app has my details if anything goes wrong. My room (6) was in a dark lower basement, not listed as such. I asked for upstairs room which was available but it did not have a cooking stove. "Place was closed and locked when we arrived. Had to call sister accommodation to try and open it up. First night we were the only people in the place. Stayed two nights. I never saw a single member of staff the whole time"
"We needed somewhere last minute and I don’t think we could have had any more luck.
Really nice rooms, breakfast was brilliant and the staff were so friendly. They contacted us immediately when they found a watch of ours.
