"The actual room was very clean. Bed was comfortable and clean linen. The bar wasn't open in the day, but that was okay. There are plenty of pubs and bars a five minute walk away. A steep hill, though, for those with disabilities.
Lots to see in the upper town. Very historical buildings. Lots to explore.
The food on the night was absolutely fantastic! 5 star for us. The flavours were amazing, and extremely well priced.

"The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...
"We had a wonderful 3 night stay. The location was excellent, even though there are 120 steps to get upto the apartment. But the views are well worth it. We chose the location for the history in the town and to be close to the Severn Valley Railway.
The apartment was well equipped, with everything you needed. One thing I would suggest and that is to have more hanging facilities for clothes in the bedrooms. It was fine for 3 nights, but if you were there longer, you would need somewhere to put...
"What a superb guesthouse. Kay & Paul were exceptional guests. Our room, Room 4 on top floor, a large king en suite room, was calming, comfortable & clean. Pictures don’t do this guesthouse justice. We only stayed 1 night but will have no hesitation in returning as we only scratched the surface with what the local area offers in terms of culture, history & walking opportunities. I definitely recommend this excellent guesthouse. 👍"
