"Since I like to start with the positives, the inn was central enough that it was within walking distance to city center, the breakfast was acceptable, the courtyard cute, and the young woman who checked us in was helpful. "My stay was great, the hotel is tired and needs updating. Carpets, decor etc. But it was clean and in a great location. I had a good nights sleep. Great value for money!"
"Stayed in room 3 for 2 nights, the room was clean and modern, but the tv didn’t have a remote control available and when a replacement was provided the tv still wouldn’t work.

"What a friendly bunch they are at The Old Bell. Clear the new owners and motivated to make this a great spot for all. A truly warm welcome and great chat with the staff; all keen to learn and do things the right way. They really are a credit to the management.
Rooms still need a little work, mattress on the bed was not great at all, but everywhere clean and tidy.
Would happily stay again when in the area for work."
"Just got back from a 2 night stay. Absolutely charming place to stay staff were so friendly and helpful. So close to the Center just a brief stroll down the lane would definitely come back to stay again. The dog loved it too"
"The location was fabulous. We were able to Leave the car on the premises and walk to wherever we needed. Coffee was 200m down the road. 15 min walk to the Thames and 20 mins to town.

"Our stay at the Cherry Tree was a comfortable stay for a business trip. The checking in system was efficient and the notifications from the owners were received in a timely manner and were very helpful and friendly in manner. We will definitely consider staying again on future business trips."
"Bathroom was not stocked with the usual (and expected) shampoo and conditioner; only one towel provided for two guests, and shower screen seal was hanging off.
A tower stand was provided but not adequate for the size of the room and the outside ambient temperature (19 degrees overnight)."
