"The hotel has been recently rebranded and is undergoing extensive renovations. The bits they've finished, like the rooms and the dining room, are new and shiny. The room itself was comfortable. It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by. On weekdays especially the hotel is an active construction site inside and out. It probably isn't what the workers want, to have to share a construction site with guests. It...

"This was genuinely the best stay I have ever had. The room and facilities were great, the food was utterly amazing, and the staff were so welcoming and caring. I spent four nights here and I wish I could stay for longer. While it’s a bit expensive, it is worth every yen. The staff was so helpful and made sure every second I spent there was incredible. I really cannot recommend this place enough!"

We were a little disappointed in the food but if you enjoy traditional Japanese ryokan cuisine, you'll probably appreciate the meals. We personally preferred the more modern Japanese food we had elsewhere on our trip."

The private open air onsen in the room we booked was amazing, at just the right temperature and automatically running and refilling.
