The hotel itself is very old, needs some refurbishment, but they still keep it very clean. I like our beds were being made every day, we felt very comfortable and relaxed when we returned to our room to see the clean beds after long walks.

I felt very safe and seen when I was at the hotel. The front desk staff is amazing and super quick with serving their guests. The area around the hotel was great and easily walkable. I will definitely be back at this hotel in the near future!!

I always stay at Sotetsu Fresa Takadanobaba whenever I'm in Tokyo, and for good reason. This was a well-maintained hotel with wonderful staff. The room itself was lovely and has great amenities. The 3 twin room was surprisingly spacious for 3 people. The on-premises restaurant was great too. The location is quiet and spacious which is a nice change from the surrounding metro area. It is literally next to a train station so transit is a breeze. My only real complaint is that the laundry facility was too small. There were often 2 hour lines of folks waiting to get loads...

Excellent location with so much to do within walking distance. Multiple subway line with a 1-2 minute walk. Hotel and staff were wonderful, so pleasant and helpful. Help with Luggage storage and shipping was a great bonus for our group.

Extremely comfortable stay at onyado nono bettei. The hotel annex just opened in January of 2024 and is very clean and inviting. The service is exemplary and location is prime. Roughly 15 minute walk to asakusa station, 2 minute walk to sensoji temple, and 5 minutes to asakusa view hotel to take a limousine bus to the airport. Our stay at Hotel Niwa made our Japan trip exceptional! As American travelers in our early 30s, we found this place to be a gem in Tokyo. The hotel's ambiance was simply beautiful, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious for a city known for compact spaces. Great location in Asakusa! Convenient to multiple train lines, food, shopping and temple grounds. Rooms are bigger than anticipated but minimal storage, no drawers and small closet. Premier lounge was a pleasant surprise and appreciated. 4th floor izakaya style food court was not up to par and disappointing, chose elsewhere to eat. Kobe restaurant is over priced and seldom busy. Uniglo store was a great! Don Quixote is a tourist trap and overpriced! Recommend and would return.

The Narita Airport limosine bus stops directly at this hotel, so it's very convenient if you don't want to carry a bunch of luggage on the shinkansen/local trains. There's a FamilyMart in a section of the building, on the second floor. The nearest metro station is the Akasaka-mitsuke station, and use the D exit (the yellow blocks on Google Maps). Great place to stay when visiting Tokyo

The front desk team is super helpful and friendly, and they speak great English. The rooms are very clean and a bit more spacious than what you’d expect in a typical Japanese hotel—they even have a microwave, a mini kitchen, and a separate bathroom and toilet. You’re close to lots of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores, and Okubo Station is just a few minutes away. We’d definitely stay here again!

Hotel staff was great and very accommodating..

I was a bit skeptical, as I saw multiple APA hotels in my search, but that is because of how good it is. It is a very eco friendly hotel with a moto of "Simplified Luxury" which is exactly what it was. It was very walkable to all the major spots of Shinjuku we were looking for- the station, the tourist spots, etc. Also, all the amenities the hotel had to offer. This was a fantastic hotel! The location was incredible - it is walking distance to the Yamanote train line which connects you to other main attractions in Tokyo. There is also tons of great restaurants and shops in the area as well and a convenience store in the heart of the lobby making it easy to grab food, drinks or other supplies.
