"Overall, the stay in this hotel can only be described as truly amazing. The staff are very helpful and extremely kind.Nothing is too much trouble. It was my birthday and I was met in the room with complimentary chocolates and drinks and a cake was brought up in the morning from my husband the staff sorted this for him.Thank you. The only one drawback was the swimming pool, it was overcrowded and a man and his son was throwing a ball.I got hit twice once in the face. I did report this to the reception staff who were very apologetic. The pool needs somebody to monitor it occasionally.Look round, nobody was monitoring the pool.It was overcrowded and quite high risk. The breakfast, the food absolutely outstanding, especially accommodating my diet requirements. A big thank you! May come back again at christmas.Want to come back to this hotel and would always recommend."
"Second time staying at this hotel. Good location, easy walking distance to the city centre. Close to Cosy Club and York brewery. Car park close by - £18 for 24 hours. Rooms are clean and modern, designed specifically with York pictures and local furniture.
Stayed on room only basis this time as there are plenty of cafes nearby.
Staff were very friendly and we were able to check in early.
Overall a very pleasant stay in York."
"Lots of selections. Unfortunately the hot options ie beans, mushrooms, were cold as the hot plates not switched on. Disappointing. The orange juice was very weak. The coffee from.the machines had a very sticky froth on top. The toast was good but there were no jam dishes to put the jam in! All in all not good. Maybe it was a one off experience but it will be hard to forget. We paid £15 each. It was refunded."
