"There were some comments about rooms needing an upgrade so I was a bit worried. However, I got a very spacious room with a large comfy bed, the bathroom had a bathtub and a lot of space for my cosmetics, room was also very well equipped. One downside was lack of AC but at least the window opened. The hotel reception, lounge, bar and restaurant are much updated and really nice and comfortable. Lots of room to spread out and space is nicely designed. Breakfast was also very good, all menues covered. The hotel is only 10 mins from York city centre with bus stop just outside which was very handy. Overall, a very nice stay."

"Great room with a beautiful view of the river and the city. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was available, but like everywhere in downtown areas, very tight spots. The only issue was there was no access to the parking lot from the inside of the hotel; they have to open the garage door for you, so plan not to have access to your car unless you absolutely need it."
