"The room was really clean, a bit small but really nice. Parking was easy, within a few minutes walk from hotel. Kim was lovely, she made us feel really welcome. Its a shame that they dont do breakfast anymore but we took cereal and also went to wetherspoon which was just down the road.

"I didn’t know what to expect really, I’ve spent a lot of time in the Dales but have never stayed in a Shepherds Hut - wow!! I stayed in Herdwick and it was amazing! One of the quirkiest places I’ve stayed, it was warm (electric heater and underfloor heating make it toasty) and the bathroom was so warm with the heated towel rail.
