You know how great it is when you find a gem of a place? Called in for lunch and couldn't have been more impressed. Fresh and imaginative menu with friendly staff and a fun atmosphere. Reasonable prices too. A great philosophy of local seasonal dishes. Noticed a steady stream of customers taking goodies home as well. Don't miss it if you're in the area. Can only show one photo but the cakes were amazing as well.

"We stayed here with another couple for a relaxing weekend in the Yarra valley. The location is amazing, beautiful views and an amazing team and restaurant. We enjoyed the 3 course dinner and the food is sublime. The wine matching to the meals was top notch and we will definitely be back. Thanks Balgownie. "
