The SPA, this was really wonderful, the treatments were exceptional, and the facilities were amazing. Location was great, we walked into Ambleside on the opposite side of the lake and caught the bus back (559) to the hotel after some shopping and a shandy. "

"Best value accommodation, even cheaper than a Youth Hostel. Decent sized room, with a desk and everything required for a good nights sleep. All staff, at reception and housekeeping, did their best to make us comfortable and at home. Would love to return one day!"

"It was a lovely hotel, with friendly staff. The room was beautiful, a little noisy from the room above on the first night of our stay (which kept our little boy awake). However this did not affect how much we loved this hotel. The food and atmosphere was amazing. Not to mention the brilliant location. We would have loved the tipi to have been up so will definitely return once that is in place. We stayed in the Loughrigg suite - A great small addition would be some coat hangers behind the door upon entry to hang outdoor coats but everything else was perfect. "
