"The place is showing its age and looks a bit rundown. However we did enjoy the breakfast in the morning and the staff were nice."

"This hotel is convenient to go to Shoin Shrine on foot, although it is a steep climb from Shoin Shrine to the hotel. They have a shuttle from and to the station. They also provide baggage pick-up from the train station. The staff are very kind and friendly. Food is great."

"The hotel is 15 min walk from the "train station" where the train does not run now (there is a bus instead), or 5 min walk on a steep slope or stairs from a bus stop (this is also an only parking lot), which was hard for my old parents. The hotel staff are trained to be very kind for routines, but when we came back to pick up something we forgot, the staff made an obvious frown and even denied at the beginning ... I had to ask again before she finally went to check and brought us what we left...

We also enjoyed the dinner very much and they also have band playing music at the hotel lounge every night. My family and I enjoyed it very much and we wished we could stay for one more night! :)"
