"Check-in went smoothly even though I arrived earlier than the scheduled check-in time after a long drive. The staff were very helpful and considerate. The room was clean, dinner was nice and the breakfast too."

"Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is cooked to order and of an excellent quality. The staff are all helpful and efficient. The hotel is ideally situated for access to the town centre, Dad's Army Museum, bus station and is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station. The bar is welcoming and serves a good selection of drinks. There is a small outdoor courtyard area in which to sit if the weather permits. On the negative side, the hotel is definitely in need of some refurbishment and painting, plus replacement of carpets."
