"Great stay at Knotty Pine. Staff were great - really nice and accommodating. Room was clean. Convenient location just a few minutes from Cape Smokey. Everything you need as a place to stay while out for the day. Dinner at the Restaurant was also excellent. Food was delivered right to our room. A nice bonus after a very long drive. Highly recommend."

"Wonderful location for visiting Cape Breton and especially the Cabot Trail! Uli was so kind to have a fire already going in the fireplace and we immediately felt welcomed and at home at Maggie's place. The peace and quiet and fall colors were beyond our expectations for this much needed get away for my husband and myself. We were very Blessed to have attended the first night of the Celtic Colours Festival in Port Hawkesberry.We had everything we needed at our fingertips and Uli is very responsive to any needs that we had or questions about the area. "Our cabin was clean and comfortable. With a minimum of kitchen supplies we were able to prepare some meals. There were very few restaurants or grocery stores nearby. Host was friendly and checked in daily. If planning to cook, buy your food at a real grocery store before getting on the Cabot Trail as the local stores have very limited options. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach (very rocky shoreline) and the walking trails on property."
