"A hotel, with a pub, NOT the other way around ! Locals drop in and not the usual plastic Corporate you normally experience. Yes, it is limited as they don't provide food, but gauge your expectations to the location and price ! Rooms are big ! Car park is big (plus free overnight Market Square parking, if busy). Great selection of beers and the place is huge. Reception is massive. I can see why local Weddings like it, plus smack in the middle of Alford town. Would I stay again - Yes, actually, and I have stayed at quite a few hotels in my career. This place is just honest, simple, clean and relaxed. Plus, if you want a takeaway, they encourage you, unlike other hotels ! Enjoy"

"This hotel is in.an excellent position next to the cathedral. Near shops and tour bus stop. Has a nice seated area in front to pass away the time with a cocktail or two. Breakfast very good. Meals in lounge ok but could have been better."

"Staff were excellent throughout our stay. They were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are well appointed, the cooked breakfasts are good quality and the bar is well stocked. There's ample free parking and a taxi ride to Lincoln city centre is very reasonably priced. This is our go-to stay-place when we are in Lincolnshire and we'l be back again next year !"

"The room was stunning, spacious and immaculately clean. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Shower needs more power but otherwise we had an amazing stay. Would definitely go back. Restaurant was really nice, cocktails were delicious, menu was great. Very good portions, and again very friendly staff. Perfect night away for our wedding anniversary."
