"Checkin was seamless. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Course we were exhausted after a day of travel. Exterior of the buildings and sorrunding need updated; not much to look at but not that important. Back door was propped open so security was very lax. You had to go out the pool area to get any ice."

"What a remarkable place and location. Our group came for reconnecting with each other, ourselves, and the environment… to meditate, enjoy the rocks and the peacefulness. We found the home to be very well appointed and filled with beautiful art. And the Location! … we were right there with the boulders of Joshua Tree! And with shade trees and interesting plants the host has been growing there. Imagine driving into the Park and finding an interesting place to settle for a while as you enjoy the desert and rock formations. Now imagine having a comfortable house… right there! With a pool and a spa… right there! Our group of friends typically takes retreats down to a ranch house in Baja, in the mountains east of Ensenada. We’ve owned it for decades – and the rock and plants are much like Joshua Tree. A few years ago, a Mexican cartel took over the region to harvest a prolific agave-type plant that is used for cosmetics. There was a fair amount of violence with local ranchers and on the roads. We haven’t gone down there together for a long time...and chose Dale’s Villa dei Fiori because the landscape reminded us of Mexico. Coming to Dale’s place in Joshua Tree was just what we needed… to rekindle our sense of that remote ranch, the wild country, and to reconnect in a lovely, comfortable place. We felt lucky. "

"This hotel is nothing ovwr the top, but the rate is reasonable, very clean and friendly staff. Hotel feels safe, you do need a room key to even access the 2nd floor. The room is very large and comfortable. Has a fridge, microwave, blow dryer. Large bathroom, very clean. Our room is so quiet, the ac works great. Will definitely stay here next time we come to town! Theres no ice machine or vending on our floor, but i believe the restaurant below has ice. "

"Would definitely recommend this for anybody who wants to spend time by Joshua Tree and get the full desert experience! The location was convenient to visit both the park and other locations like Forty-nine palms oasis. The property touches the edge of the park so you are super close and get the park feel from the beginning! The hosts are lovely, considerate, and very helpful, walking us around when we arrived and have a ton of good information. The pool and ac were very welcome for the heat, and the rest of the house had everything we needed for a weekend getaway! "
