"The castle is absolutely gorgeous. I stayed in one of the rooms in the outbuilding in the grounds, surrounded by peacocks, and it was lovely to walk across the lawn in the rain in the early morning for breakfast in the castle restaurant. The drawing room is incredible, with a great bar and genuinely spectacular places to sit in medieval window seats and beautiful couches. The staff are all wonderful.
The rooms in the outbuilding are grand, but a lot of the fixtures are getting a bit run down....
"Absolutely magical place to stay! The rooms were immaculate, beds very comfy, and the staff wonderful! The floor we stayed on was accessible by a small spiral staircase; large enough to get suitcases up, but perhaps not the most accessible so bear that in mind when booking. Would highly recommend taking time to walk the grounds and throughout the castle during your stay!"

"Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was okay but not the one I had booked. Breakfast was good and varied. It’s located close to the city centre with a lot of bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk, but it was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. Nothing I could say wowed me but a good place to stay to enjoy the city."
