Kingfisher Lodge consists of two bedrooms (a double with en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, and a twin), plus a main bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. It has an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting area with an electric fire. The lodge includes gas central heating, gas oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, TV and DVD player. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included (please bring your own leisure towels). Outside is private decking with furniture and a barbecue, along with off-road parking for two cars. There is complimentary WiFi for light use only. No pets and no smoking. Shop 0.4 miles; pub 0.5 miles. Access to local leisure facilities is complimentary but not guaranteed, and a paid complex pass is needed for onsite facilities. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
