"The place was great! We stayed at this location for our 4 night trip to cedar point with no problems! The price is pretty reasonable and not too far from the park. Everyone complaining about the trains must have never stayed in Sandusky..almost every hotel in the area has the same “problem”. We will definitely be back in the fall! "

"Decent cheap stay. Room was clean, no bugs. Bathroom needs updating, never a good sign when the room comes equipped with a plunger. Bathtub caulking was pretty bad and the tub didnt look clean. Otherwise everything was fine. The Bob Evans next door seemed to be shut down, but great dining options a few minutes away in Ontario."

"The motel in a quiet area with a path to walk to a small beach area with a great view. Staff were sweet as can be, check in and out went very smoothly. The porch area around my room door was noticeably buggy and there were several mosquitos that had gotten into my room, but it’s understandable given the proximity to the lake. "Very nice for the price "

"It was very easy to get to. The owners were very nice and friendly. They answered all my questions about where to get something to eat. They were also nice enough to let us know about the strawberry festival that was going on the same weekend that we were there. They told us about the restaurant that were only about 10 minutes away from the hotel. We had a great time and will probably be back next year. Thank you for having us."

"I chose this place knowing the bad reviews and terrible conditions, expecting the worst, and it did not surprise me. It was dirty, and dilapidated. The tiles and wallpaper were falling off the walls. The owner was friendly, but the room was truly awful. He said that he didn't have my reservation, but could rent me a room he wasn't planning on renting out due to issues. Not sure whether to summate this as a good or a bad thing. Ultimately, my alternatives were 3-4x the price for a 3 star hotel,...

"We booked this house for a 3 day weekend in Feb to stay during my daughter’s volleyball tournament at the nearby sports complex. Great price, super clean and comfy accommodations! The owner has decorated the home very cute with a beach/lake vibe. Each room is spacious and loft area futon was a nice bonus. The kitchen has plenty of pots/pans/utensils/coffee makers. "We booked this house last minute for a weekend volleyball tournament. We had to switch our hotel plans and needed a pet friendly rental. Jamie was very accommodating, allowing us late check out so our dog could remain there while we were at the tournament through Sunday. House is clean and had everything we needed to stay comfortably for the weekend. Very close to Sawmill Creek, which is where a lot of her team was staying and the sports complex for the tournament. Would stay again!"
