TeRito Lagoon Villas - Ocean & Beachfront 1bdrm Villa

"If you, like us, are not resort people but would rather enjoy a simple self catering island experience, Te Rito is perfect. It is down a long driveway, and right beside the beach, well away from road traffic noise. We were in Unit 4 - French doors open wide, a covered deck with table and chairs, looking out to sea (we spotted whales on 2 days), loungers, a hammock. A few steps and you are on the beach with some of the best snorkeling. An outdoor shower, carport with clothesline and washing machine made life easy. Inside, there are fans and a heatpump, but we didnt need them, as louvres all round could be adjusted to let the breezes through. There is not a lot of clothes or food storage space but you don't need much of either, so we managed. Great fridge/freezer, microwave and double induction elements.A new supermarket across the road is open long hours, and you are also walking distance (or a short drive) to some nice eating spots.We enjoyed Charlie's, Saigon Shack and Maire Nui Gardens.The host, Liu, was great to deal with and quick to respond to any request or queries. Michelle, on site, was also lovely, friendly and helpful. I feel we will be back before too long !"

"We had a fabulous stay in a two bedroom villa. Complex is great with a continental breakfast included. A short walk across the road to a beautiful beach with kayaks, snorkel equipment available to use free of charge. Staff were wonderful and facilities great. The rosters in adjoining property can take a bit to get used to but would still highly recommend for location (beautiful sunsets) and value. Bus stop is right outside for the island bus."

"Allen greeted us on our first day we arrived in Rarotonga, we found to be very easy going and respectful. Nothing seemed to be a problem with hm.The house was very spacious and clean a pleasure to kick back and relax for the next 12 days, with a short walk to the Papaaroa beach really convenient. The house also had a big washing machine and large clothes line for use. The area was really quiet at night until of course when the roosters wake up in the mornings. Also a 10 minute walk to Kent Hall and CITC shop.We would recommend to anyone Allen and Isabelle house for a family to stay in whilst in Rarotonga. Quiet , clean close drive to Charlies, Muri Beach, Titikaveka Church etc.Thank you Allen and Isabelle, my family are counting the days for our next holidays to the Cook Islands. Hopefully we can stay in your house."

"The property is beautiful, lovely gardens around the pool and cabana and each apartment had a private patio area out front. Apartment was spacious and modern, bathroom was excellent. Small complex which made it quiet and relaxing. Hosts were very friendly. Would definitely stay again."

"This house is amazing. Very large and spacious- the photos don’t show how large the space really is! It was nice having our own private pool for the holiday. Check in and out was super easy and the host called in the first night to make sure everything was good. The kitchen is fully functional appliance wise (which was good for us as we did eat at home at least half the time). The house had everything you could need- two bathrooms and clothes drying racks (handy as we swam somewhere every day of our stay). Nice quiet area with local chickens and roosters and a cuddly cat visiting. We hope to stay here again in future visits. We rented a car, and for this location would recommend others do too as it is not on the main road (great for us with small kids). The house had its own car park which was handy. The communication with the host was excellent, he sent all needed info beforehand and also offered to do a grocery shop to have food in the house on arrival. We could occasionally hear people in the other houses but it did not impact our stay at all- everyone very respectful of the beautiful space. This house isn’t near the busy areas of the island but that was perfect for us and when you have a car it doesn’t really matter as everything is close. The entire island is only 31km around and we cannot get back fast enough!! Thankyou Rob for an amazing stay!"
