Luxurious log cottage with 600-feet of waterfront, 90 Acres.
10/10 Excellent
"Talk about setting the bar high! Our three-family, multi-generational group had the most amazing week - highly recommended. All rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully detailed with ample space to spread out or congregate at any time of day. The kitchen is very well appointed with high-end everything, bathrooms are aplenty, a games room that will keep any kid or kid-at-heart busy, and a huge deck for relaxing and dining. The fabulous dock easily accomodated our large group and 22ft pontoon. Communication with the hosts was a breeze as well. Barb & Eric, thank you for an unforgettable stay."

"Property was fantastic and the location was superb. An excellent choice for those looking for a good anchor location to do some exploring in the Algonquin area."
"A well run hostel with all that you need for a comfortable stop over.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Well stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare your food. Fans are available for those warmer days and nights. "
"Leah was a great host. She explains the history of the area with some interesting stories. The backyard garden is beautiful and she had a fire going in the fire pit to keep away any bugs. Felt right at home there and would go back when in the area."
"Our second visit to Alexanne Cottages was as totally satisfying as our first, in July, 2024. It is wonderful for each family to have their own space, and yet spend lots of time enjoying the beach activities and taking meals together. We are a group of 10 (6 adults and 4 children (ranging from 3-9). The cottages are very well equipped, and everyone enjoyed the beach amenities (canoe, kayaks, water mat, beach chairs, etc. All in all, I highly recommend our stay on McKenzie Lake!"
Escape with 7 seat HotTub and Couples Cold Plunge Sleeps 10
South Algonquin
10/10 Excellent
"The hosts were fantastic, offering to meet me and describe the area and amenities, or to leave the keys in a secure lockbox and let me explore on my own. The property is well setup with the main house, a bunkie, a wood shed, a covered BBQ/game area, as well as a large firepit and a garden with seating for conversation. The owners have plans for additional recreational activities in the near future, including badminton nets. The property is well forested, and you can barely tell that you have neighbors."
"Lovely older building with a new modern look and amenities. Our room was beautiful with serene views amidst the winter landscape. The lobby/lounge was warm and welcoming. We booked a hydrotherapy session and thoroughly enjoyed the use of the sauna and steam room.
The food was amazing at the restaurant and the service was on point.
The resort itself is quite remote, but during an unexpected winter storm it was the perfect retreat. "
